I started doing yoga in my late twenties as a semi-professional beach volleyball player with the Women's Professional Volleyball Association (precursor to the current AVP). After being trounced by some (very tall) California ladies, I asked what their secret to playing so well was. Their answer: YOGA! I would like to say the next year when I played them again I had become so strong and flexible that I beat them, sadly no. But I did become enamored with yoga and have now been practicing yoga for more than 25 years and teaching for over 12.
