It’s hard to believe, but the Northern Hemisphere is once again rolling towards the longest day of the year. The summer solstice on June 21st gives us a chance to awe at the beauty of the sun and the life it brings as well as helps us to transition into new seasons and further growth.
Yogis all over the world will be inviting new insights and deeper meditations on this day, and no matter where you might be, the summer solstice provides a great opportunity to harness some special energy and to have a little yogic celebration.
To acknowledge the practice of yoga as well as its cultural importance in the global community, the United Nations has named June 21st International Yoga Day. And with this announcement, all the day’s extra solar power, and the hustle and bustle of New York City, what better place than Times Square to gather together and connect with some impactful yoga classes?

In its 13th year, Solstice in Times Square is presented by the Times Square Alliance and includes a huge gathering of yoga practitioners from all walks of life. A bevy of free classes are offered throughout the day, and yoga lovers from all around the world come to connect and grow.
