Waka Yogi is the Tokyo-based writer, choreographer, narrator and performer of the TV show “Kirei Yoga” on Fox Japan. She’s also collaborated with YouTube and filmed 650 yoga poses at the media company’s Creator Space in Tokyo. Her personal goal with both her on and off-cam yoga teaching is to help 1,000,000 people live 10 years longer, healthier and happier — and creating 10,000,000 years of life!

I love how relaxing it is. I love the sense of community, how it’s non-competitive and how it brings people together from all walks of life. Yoga is a gift that keeps on giving with every breath you take.

How Do You Keep Your Yoga Practice Interesting And Challenging?
I use a wide range of yoga poses in my lessons. I like to use an lot of interesting variations of yoga poses too. I develop my own sequences that flow onto each other and I love trying out new poses.

The people that inspire me the most are my parents.
