Pigeon Pose (Eka Pada Rajakopatasana) is a fantastic hip opener often done toward the end of most yoga classes. However, the pose’s alignment can be a little tricky to understand and isn’t always explained in great detail by the teacher.
In this very short Pigeon Pose prep tutorial, I answer the question I receive the most — where is that front shin and foot supposed to be? — and give you a few pointers for safely aligning the pose.
If you have any more questions about the pose, please ask in the comments below and we can keep this conversation going. Thanks and happy pigeon-ing!
