The Hardest Ballet Dance Moves Captured In Slow Motion (VIDEO)

It may not be yoga, but it still takes a lot of muscle! This video from the Washington Post shows members of the Washington Ballet filmed with a high-speed camera, which slows down their moments of peak action to show the extreme control required to precisely execute some of the toughest ballet moves.

Although yoga and ballet certainly have their differences, they both sculpt the body, tone muscle, and focus on flexibility. Watching ballet in slow motion highlights these similarities, especially as the dancers seem to float through the air, holding each pose as they explain the coordination and precise timing needed to attain perfection.

While yoga’s more about relaxation than perfect execution, the two disciplines still share the same appreciation for physicality and grace, which the video contains in abundance. Check it out!
