As a self-proclaimed Bad Yogi, I have to be honest with you. The last thing I want to do when I get home from a long day at work is immediately turn around to go back out to a yoga class. After all, there are so many more interesting things to do at home like eat Ben & Jerry’s while watching Modern Family re-runs.
Obviously yoga studios aren’t all bad, but I gotta say, I’ve always enjoyed my home practice even more than the one at a studio. There’s just some things that you can’t and don’t want to do in front of a class full of people. For example:
- Fall on your face while practicing Crow
- Actually let everything relax in Savasana
- Practice in your pajamas
- Make awkward small talk with the people at the studio’s front desk
- Stare daggers at the perfectly fit yogi at the front of the room who’s making your Downdog look bad
- Step over your neighbor to leave for that bathroom break you desperately needed before class
It’s nice to stay at home, but that home practice can be hard to maintain. YouTube can get boring and yoga video platforms don’t have any structure to them. Luckily, there’s a new kid on the block taking the yoga world by storm. MyYogaPro is only nine days in to its Kickstarter campaign and is already the fastest growing yoga project on Kickstarter… ever.
MyYogaPro is changing the way we practice yoga at home. Most online classes are randomly organized with no structure or plan and they just leave you feeling lost in a sea of unrelated videos. With MyYogaPro, every course has a specific goal so when you start, you always know what to do next. Plus, you’ll be able to see how far you’ve come because you always have a visible progress bar and some other cool features that let you track your progress. You can connect with other yogis, share your experiences, and even complete courses together.
Isn’t it time your practice becomes your own? Join the yoga revolution with MyYogaPro.
