‘Black Girl Yoga’ – A Cheeky Take On Yoga’s Diversity Issue (VIDEO)

Happiness | Lifestyle

Yoga is for everyone, but the sad reality is that there is still a diversity issue in its modern practice.

There are groups and organizations helping to address this, but writer/comedian Obehi Janice offers a cheeky take on the issue with a song called “Black Girl Yoga.”

Watch and listen as Obehi sings about “Lululemon pants and periwinkle top” and being the only black girl in her yoga class, and you might just find yourself singing “namaste mama-sah ma-ma-coo-sah!” long after the song’s over. Enjoy!
