You will be different.
Life will not be the same.
Ripe with potential, a whole new world will be created. In fact, a whole new person could be born in less than a year.
The time to begin is now.
Think of this as day 1 of the rest of your life. A life where you are living your dreams in the biggest way, no holding back – bold, creative, activated.
Step 1: You have to really want this for yourself.
Step 2: Get started before you are ready, or have every detailed worked out in advance.
Step 3: Keep showing up, for 365 days.
What I’m suggesting is fully activating confidence in your life. What do I mean by confidence in this exact context?
Confidence is having healthy self-esteem to live life knowing we have a right to be happy. This comes as a result of both intention and action. We can strengthen our confidence through affirmation, positive self-talk and taking steps towards tangible results.
3 Confidence Boosters
Stop waiting.
If you place too many conditions on getting started it will result in paralysis and feeling disempowered. Begin before you are ready. Allow yourself to start where you are and go from there. You don’t need to be confident to gain confidence, simply begin.
List your accomplishments.
Recognize how far you’ve come. Take time to regularly keep a journal about what you are good at and how this manifests as achievements both big and small. Don’t leave out the little things you do for they add up and feed your self-esteem.
At the end of the year, write a list of all that you are grateful for accomplishing. Let go of the rest.
Detach from results but always try your best.
It is easy to get overwhelmed and think we are never going to get better. We can become paralyzed with seeing the world as lacking enough for all of us. This leads to getting overly consumed with the results of our efforts.
Set a goal in alignment with changing your fundamental belief in abundance. Let this goal support the process of trying your best while acknowledging “your best is always changing, ” according to the Four Agreements.
Place your attention on practicing positive self-talk as you make a wholehearted attempt, and let that be enough. Celebrate your connectedness to possibility and believe that:
The way you lived yesterday need not drive the way you live your life today.
And remember: don’t beat yourself up if you fall back into the old habits. Keep at it!
Love yourself, love your day, love your life!
